Dorothy Herrera

Dorothy Herrera learned her traditional pottery making skills from her mother, Mary Frances Herrera, and her grandmother, Laurencita Herrera (one of the finest Cochiti potters from the 1930's into the 1970's). Born in 1970, Dorothy was producing pottery for the marketplace by the 1980's. Dorothy specializes in storyteller figures, some human but mostly animals, especially bears.
