Claudia Ledezma

Mata Ortiz

Claudia Ledezma Loya is a second-generation potter from the village of Mata Ortiz. Her husband, Luis Rodriguez, is also a second-generation Mata Ortiz potter. They sometimes collaborate, sometimes not. They both like to work primarily with Mimbres-Revival designs.

Claudia earned a First Place ribbon at the 2017 Concurso Ceramica de Mata Ortiz for one of her lightly carved and painted pieces.
