Arthur and Hilda Coriz

Hilda Coriz was a sister of award-winning potter Robert Tenorio and she learned the traditional art from him. Arthur learned by watching his wife and brother-in-law. At first, Arthur and Hilda were making the pots and Robert doing the designs and painting. Then Arthur got into the painting aspect and within two years, he was doing all the designing and painting for Hilda and himself. After a while they became full-time potters and participants in the Santa Fe Indian Market, winning numerous awards between 1983 and 1998. Then Arthur died in 1998 and Hilda followed in 2007.
