Lisa Holt and Harlan Reano
Lisa Holt (b. 1980) and Harlan Reano (b. 1978) are an award-earning husband-and-wife team who make pottery the traditional way. Lisa is the granddaughter of Seferina Ortiz and Seferina mentored her as she grew up. She also learned from her mother, Inez Ortiz.
Harlan's mother was from Santo Domingo Pueblo but he learned to make pottery from his mother-in-law, Inez Ortiz. Harlan and Lisa started making pottery together in 1999 with Lisa making all the pots and Harlan painting them. Now they share the pottery making but Harlan still does the painting.
