Seferina Bell

Zia Pueblo

Seferina Bell was born to Joe Pino and Ascenciona Galvan Pino at Zia Pueblo in 1920. She learned the traditional art of pottery making as she grew up and was an accomplished potter by 1940. It was only in the 1940s that she began signing her works. She specialized in ollas, jars and canteens.

Seferina was the mother of Ruby Panana and aunt of Eleanor Pino Griego. She passed on in 1986.
