Mary Edna Trujillo

Cochiti Pueblo

Mary Edna Trujillo is the daughter of Louis and Virginia Naranjo of Cochiti Pueblo. She was born in March 1965 and has been an active potter since at least the early 1990s. Pauline Naranjo is her sister.

Mary seems to like to make Cochiti-style polychrome jars, bowls and figures. Like her father she also has a soft spot for black bear storyteller figures. Early in her career she signed her pieces "Mary Edna Naranjo" and later in her career (after she married) she signed them "Mary Edna Trujillo."
