Priscilla Vigil

Tesuque Pueblo

Born in 1919, Priscilla Vigil was a traditional potter from Tesuque Pueblo. Although she came on the scene in the end days of Tesuque Rain God production, she was still producing Rain Gods in the 1960s, although she seems to have dropped the poster paint and used a lot of golden micaceous slip instead. And with Rain God production down so much, Priscilla also produced micaceous pottery similar to what was coming out of Picuris, Taos and Nambe Pueblos in those days.
