Luz Angelica Lopez Cota is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz. She is a younger sister of Laura Bugarini and Elvira Bugarini. They taught her how to make pottery but, as her skills developed, her designs changed. Now she makes mostly sgraffito and painted images of birds or butterflies with flowers on vines or branches.
