Mark Tahbo was born into the Hopi-Tewa Spider Clan in 1958. His great-grandmother, Grace Chapella, inspired him to make pottery but he learned most of his skills on his own. He's been making pottery since 1978.
Mark's specialty is very thin-walled vessels with his trademark polish finish. He's won awards at Heard Museum and Santa Fe Indian Market consistently since the early 1990's. Sadly, Mark died in 2018.
