Rayvin Garcia Nampeyo

Hopi

Rayvin Garcia Nampeyo was born to Leah Garcia Nampeyo (daughter of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo) in Hopi in 1961. He was the youngest of brother James and sister Melda. Their mother died when Rayvin was 13. The three siblings were then raised by their grandmother, Fannie.

Fannie did a wonderful job in teaching all three about the pottery-making process. Rayvin was not as prolific as his brother James but both were excellent traditional potters.
