Linda Cain

Santa Clara Pueblo

The daughter of Mary Cain and granddaughter of Christina Naranjo, Linda Cain was born into Santa Clara Pueblo in 1949. She grew up watching and helping her mother and grandmother make pottery for the marketplace.

Linda has earned numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and at the Heard Indian Art Fair. Her work can be found in museums throughout the Southwest. She has also been featured in numerous publications such as American Indian Art Magazine and the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Official Guide.

She signs most of her pottery: Linda Cain Santa Clara Pueblo. As she learned from her mother and grandmother, Linda taught her daughters, Autumn Borts-Medlock and Tammy Garcia. They, too, have become award-earning potters.
