Delores Aragon

Acoma Pueblo

Born into Acoma Pueblo and named after her grandmother, Delores Sanchez, Delores Aragon made her first few pieces of pottery at the age of five. She had learned by watching her grandmother and mother, Marie S. Juanico.

After she was married, her schooling in the traditional way was reinforced by her mother-in-law, Wanda Aragon. Delores is most known these days days for her intricately painted traditional designs and her miniatures.
