Sharon Lewis was born into the Red Corn Clan in Acoma Pueblo in 1959. At the age of 19 she married into one of the two unrelated Lewis families and was encouraged to learn pottery from her sisters-in-law: Marilyn Ray, Carolyn Concho, Judy Lewis, Rebecca Lucario and Diane Lewis. Sharon's specialty is handcoiled miniature seed pots.
Sharon signs her pottery as: Sharon Lewis, Acoma, followed by an ear-of-corn denoting her clan.
